TATTOOING SINCE ‘09

Tattooing has always been sort of shamanistic to me in a sense. It is passed down through generations and is constantly evolving but it’s still the same thing it always has been. It’s a way to express your inner self to the world around you.

I started tattooing in 2009 in Ocala, Fl at Diamond Tattoo and around 2012 I left there to start working at Ocala Tattoo(established by Chris O’Leary). Which was a shop I had always wanted to work at.

The shop had a style reminiscent of that north Florida Jax style you see coming out of inksmith & Rogers, as Chris was a part of that lineage and he had worked at the Roosevelt shop before moving to Ocala during the early 2000’s.

Working at Ocala Tattoo was a pivotal moment in my career and plays a huge role in how I tattoo to this day.

Words to live by

Traditional tattooing doesn't mean staying stuck in the past, it means nurturing something that came way before you because you deeply hope it will continue after you. It's about being in the middle, not being at the end."
